Top Ten Tuesdays (4 Aug)

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. This week's topic is the top ten books fairy tale retellings I want to read. I love fairy tale retellings but have hardly read any. However, in the past week I've watched Cinderella and Mirror Mirror and I also started to watch Grimm with my brother and sister-in-law and we are half way through the first season already.

So, here we go:

Spelled
The Wizard of Oz

A Whole New World (A Twisted Tale #1)
Aladdin

Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles, #1)
Cinderella

Dorothy Must Die (Dorothy Must Die, #1)
The Wizard of Oz

Beastly
Beauty and the Beast

Ella Enchanted
Cinderella

Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1)
Cinderella

A Court of Thorns and Roses (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #1)
Beauty and the Beast

Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West (The Wicked Years, #1)
The Wizard of Oz

A Wicked Thing (A Wicked Thing, #1)
Sleeping Beauty

  1. Is Throne of Glass a fairytale retelling? I had no idea. Anyway, Cinder is fantastic - I just finished the first book! You should totally read it when you have a chance.

    1. I didn't realise until I done a bit more research on the topic nut apparently Throne of Glass is. I can't wait to read Cinder, I just need to get my hands on a copy.

  2. Such great picks! Glad to see you enjoyed A Whole New World! I was so excited about an Aladdin retelling, but then it seemed like everyone was hating it.
    Happy Tuesday!

Feature and Follow (29 May)

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of  Parajunkee’s View  and Alison of  Alison Can Read . Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs! I'm one of the featured blogs this week! Along with Amanda of  The Darling Bookworm . This week’s Question: How many books have you got on your TBR list? I recently had a bit of a cull of my TBR list so now it is sitting at 269. I'm trying my hardest to get it below 200 by the end of the year but I really don't see it happening. I'd currently be happy if I managed to get it below 225. However, I did recently have a look through my TBR on Goodreads and deleted a few books that I don't think I will actually ever read - I'm not even to sure how they got there anyway.
