Top Ten Tuesday: Hyped Books I Haven't Read... Yet


Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. This week's topic is the top ten hyped books I've never read. I could go on for days with this topic, I stopped reading altogether during my time at university and I'm trying to catch up now.

    I really enjoyed TFiOS, though I find it a bit over-hyped. It is a good book but I get so annoyed when people call it the best of YA, like other YA authors can't even be compared to Green. The first three books in TMI are AMAZING. The added three novels... not so much. I enjoyed The DUFF but I had some problems with it. Overall, it's not a bad book and it definitely has a positive message. The Girl on the Train is one of my favorites this year! I loved it so much, totally recommended. :)

    You seriously have to read the Percy Jackson series soon! I really loved that one.

    I definitely recommend Divergent and Red Queen - I loved both of them!

    I haven't read The Mortal Instruments either and I don't think I ever will now!

      Definitely planning on reading Divergent as I own it but I'm still not sure about Red Queen.

    I loved City of Bones and Outlander! Divergent...um...I liked the first two books but the third was horrible. I need to read Red Queen, Confess and The Girl on the Train. Great list, I hope you get to read these soon!

      That's disappointing that you didn't like Divergent, it's so frustrating when a series starts off good then fizzles down.

    I really hope you enjoy The Fault in Our Stars! It's so good, though I enjoyed Looking for Alaska more. I definitely need to check out The DUFF as well. I'm going to be honest, I didn't much enjoy Divergent, though I loved the movie. However, the Insurgent book was AMAZING.

      I'm seeing a lot of disappointment from Divergent on this... I'm slightly wary now, but that won't stop me giving them a go.

Discussion: The Problem With My Local Library

I used to use my local library all the time when I was in school.  Source I even spent every lunchtime in my school's library. My friends and I were pupil librarians and we practically had the run of the whole library. And then, when I started University, the only library I had time for was the University library. And that wasn't an enjoyable experience. However, last summer I started going to my local library again. (I then had to stop again when I got my job.) And unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed.  Source The availability sucks. I can deal with books I want that are already out on loan. It's the complete lack of decent books the library has on its system that gets to me. All those months I went to the library last year and I never left with a book that was already on my TBR.
