Bout of Books 19 - Day 2

Bout of Books 18

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda Shofner and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 8th and runs through Sunday, May 14th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 19 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. - From the Bout of Books team.

This will be my second Bout of Books. I had so much fun during my first I thought why not do it again. However, unlike the first time round, I will be at work the majority of the week to so I'm not too sure how much reading I will be able to do. I'm not holding out on getting much read, but I'm going to set my goal as 3 books and hope I can read a little bit more than that.

To Be Read:
Finish Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, Jesse Andrews (starting from page 157)
The Neverland Wars, Audrey Greathouse
Follow Me Back, A.V. Geiger

Updates:
Day 1:
  • Currently reading -  Me and Earl and the Dying Girl
  • Books finished today - 0
  • Pages read - 24
  • Total books finished - 0

  1. Excellent!
I recently caught some macrel. Is there any certain wine you could suggest to go with it? (I see the wine lover in your 6 words, figured I'd ask.)

    1. Unfortunately, I love drinking wine, but I'm not great with matching wines to food. Sorry I can't be more help.

  2. Enjoy them! I'm slightly obsessed with Peter Pan retellings. I love Everland, Get Lost, and I have Unhooked on my TBR. I've read a lot of others too but Everland is one of my favorites. Enjoy your books!

Feature and Follow (29 May)

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of  Parajunkee’s View  and Alison of  Alison Can Read . Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs! I'm one of the featured blogs this week! Along with Amanda of  The Darling Bookworm . This week’s Question: How many books have you got on your TBR list? I recently had a bit of a cull of my TBR list so now it is sitting at 269. I'm trying my hardest to get it below 200 by the end of the year but I really don't see it happening. I'd currently be happy if I managed to get it below 225. However, I did recently have a look through my TBR on Goodreads and deleted a few books that I don't think I will actually ever read - I'm not even to sure how they got there anyway. Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Wouldn't Mind Santa Leaving Me

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by  The Broke and The Bookish . This week's topic is ten books I wouldn't mind Santa leaving under my tree.

Book Beginnings, The Friday 56 and Feature and Follow (3 April)

Book Beginnings is a meme hosted every Friday by  Rose City Reader  where you share the first sentence (or so) of the book you are reading, along with your initial thoughts about the sentence, impressions of the book, or anything else the opener inspires.  Please remember to include the title of the book and the author’s name.
