The Sunday Post (17 October 2021)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly of Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

So I fell off the radar again over the past few weeks... Everything seemed to just happen all at once. Firstly with the water leak (all sorted now), then my parents went on holiday so I was dog sitting. Then that same week it all went wrong... my sister-in-law fell ill (not covid just a sickness bug brought home from my nephew's nursery) so I spent time helping her with my nephew as my brother was working away. Then my granny had a fall and ended up in the hospital and as my parents were away it was down to me to liaise with the hospital. Thankfully she's all fine now with no broken bones, they just kept her in for a week due to a severe UTI. Then my nephew fell ill and ended up at the GP and A&E a few times.

Thakfully everything seems to have calmed down now (finger crossed) and I actually spent the last week on annual leave from work. I spent a lot of it resting after the hectic few weeks I've had. But I also went to Edinburgh for a day and visited a few bookshops, picking up a few books. I also went to a local nature reserve with my sister-in-law and nephew which was really fun. My nephew loved seeing all the ducks and chickens.

Feature and Follow (29 May)

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of  Parajunkee’s View  and Alison of  Alison Can Read . Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs! I'm one of the featured blogs this week! Along with Amanda of  The Darling Bookworm . This week’s Question: How many books have you got on your TBR list? I recently had a bit of a cull of my TBR list so now it is sitting at 269. I'm trying my hardest to get it below 200 by the end of the year but I really don't see it happening. I'd currently be happy if I managed to get it below 225. However, I did recently have a look through my TBR on Goodreads and deleted a few books that I don't think I will actually ever read - I'm not even to sure how they got there anyway.
