The Sunday Post (11 December)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly of Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

So, it started off a fairly quite week this week, especially at work as everything begins to wind down for the Christmas break. But it was great because I got to read so much! Although I did have one DNF which was a bit of a downer (Lizzie Lovett).

On Friday, I had a great evening to the theatre with my mum, sister-in-law and a family friend. We went to see Mamma Mia at the Edinburgh Playhouse and oh my god, it was just brilliant! I would highly recommend going to see the show if it tours near you. It was just so funny, especially Donna and her friends. It was comedy gold (and actually got quite dirty at times haha!). And then there were the topless men too! Definitely the best girlie night I've had in a long time.

  1. Frostblood looks good! I saw the movie Mamma Mia (not sure if it's the same one) and thought it was pretty funny. I think it would make a great play!

    1. Frostblood is really good so far! I can't stop reading it. The movie Mamma Mia is actually based on the musical and both are just fabulous.

Top Ten Tuesday: Characters I'd Love to Check in With

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by  The Broke and The Bookish .  This week's topic is the top ten characters you'd like to check in with.  I really struggled with this one, my brain just went blank and I couldn't really think of anyone besides pretty obvious choices.

Discussion: The Problem With My Local Library

I used to use my local library all the time when I was in school.  Source I even spent every lunchtime in my school's library. My friends and I were pupil librarians and we practically had the run of the whole library. And then, when I started University, the only library I had time for was the University library. And that wasn't an enjoyable experience. However, last summer I started going to my local library again. (I then had to stop again when I got my job.) And unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed.  Source The availability sucks. I can deal with books I want that are already out on loan. It's the complete lack of decent books the library has on its system that gets to me. All those months I went to the library last year and I never left with a book that was already on my TBR. I walked around that place looking at my Goodreads trying to find any book on that list. And I couldn't find any at all (except for the Classics). To be honest, I ...
