Top Ten Tuesday: Authors I've Met

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. This week's topic is ten authors I've met. I don't actually think I've met ten authors... and the ones I have met aren't exactly well known (I don't think...) due mainly to location, but I'm going to list them with at least one of their books that I've read/own.

Sherry Ashworth
Paralysed

Kate Cann
Leaving PoppyFootloose

James Jauncey
The Witness

J.A. Henderson
CrashBunker 10

Ray Mears
My Outdoor Life

Matthew Fitt
King O The Midden (Itchy Coo)

  2. I work at a bookstore where we do a lot of signings, and I always try to attend the events of lesser known authors because we never can predict the turnout... sometimes no one comes. So some of the best conversations with authors I've had are the ones that aren't hugely well-known, but had the time to have a real conversation. And I'm definitely going to check out Matthew Fitt's book- love the title!

    1. That is such a shame when there's not a great turnout! I have to admit, I only know of these authors because they visited my school all those years ago. Matthew Fitt's book is so funny and I highly recommend it! It's a great book just to flick through.

  4. I hadn't heard about these authors yet, but it's so great that you got to meet them! I guess if they are a little less known, that the experience feels a lot more personal when you get to meet them :)

    1. Not a lot of people have heard of them. I think they're definitely quite unknown even around here and it was only because of school all those years ago that I had the chance to meet them.

  5. I haven't heard of these authors, but it's always lovely to meet authors we like! :-)

    1. Not a loot of people have this week. To be honest, I'm not 100% sure if I do like them. The majority of these I was forced to meet through school.

Top Ten Tuesday: New to Me Authors 2015

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by  The Broke and The Bookish . This week's topic is a top ten new to me authors of 2015. I have read so many new to me authors this year and it's been brilliant! I'm not sure if I can limit this list to only 10!

Feature and Follow (29 May)

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of  Parajunkee’s View  and Alison of  Alison Can Read . Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs! I'm one of the featured blogs this week! Along with Amanda of  The Darling Bookworm . This week’s Question: How many books have you got on your TBR list? I recently had a bit of a cull of my TBR list so now it is sitting at 269. I'm trying my hardest to get it below 200 by the end of the year but I really don't see it happening. I'd currently be happy if I managed to get it below 225. However, I did recently have a look through my TBR on Goodreads and deleted a few books that I don't think I will actually ever read - I'm not even to sure how they got there anyway.
