So many good reasons why we read. I totally agree with all of them.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my TTT earlier.
Thank you! I'm seeing a lot of agreement between us all this week.
DeleteDefinitely.
DeleteI’m always learning, too! It’s cool we have that in common.

Reading is such a good way to keep our brains thinking. I'm seeing a lot of common reasons this week.
DeleteGreat list! It is definitely relaxing, and I love being able to carry a book with me where ever I go. Here is my Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I don't think I'm complete without carrying a book around in some form in my handbag haha
DeleteYes, books definitely serve as a reminder of a certain time, totally agree there. Happy reading! My TTT https://readwithstefani.com/top-ten-reasons-to-love-reading/

DeleteI love #10! I can't really transport the trappings of my other hobbies. It's so nice that I can have a book along wherever I go. Although I don't like reading on my phone, I love that I always have my Kindle app available.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!

Thanks! I actually struggled to think of a final reason and it wasn't until I was packing my bag for the day that I realised it was a valid reason.
DeleteI agree with all of these. Here is my post-https://paigesofbook.blogspot.com/2021/07/top-ten-tuesday-eight-reasons-i-enjoy.html.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI love to read light hearted, and entertaining reads because they're a kind of escape! One of the best things about reading. :)
ReplyDeleteIt really is! I love a nice light hearted read when life gets a little hectic.
DeleteI really like #2. Reading is my "me time" activity. Here's my list!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I love that I can just forget about everything else around me and focus on me
DeleteI agree with all of these. I love travelling but it is very expensive and books are much cheaper. They've also allowed me to travel in the past year when it's not been possible to physically do so.

That's brilliant that reading allowed you to travel over the last year. Unfortunately, lockdown just didn't get me in the mood for reading and that disappoints me a bit.
DeleteReading is always an adventure! So many good reasons to love reading. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting!
DeleteI love each and every one of your reasons.

DeleteYou are so right, books do trigger our memories. I have very clear memories of reading specific books when I was a kid; and when I see the cover it takes me right back!
ReplyDeleteExactly, sometimes I just need to hear or read a sentence and I'm transported right back to my childhood.
