The Sunday Post: 21 January

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly of Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

So, I'm finally trying to get back into blogging with this being my first post since last June!! I cannot believe where all the time has gone! I just didn't really feel like blogging for so long (and didn't really feel like I had the time to either), but now I finally feel ready to get back to it. Can't really think about anything major that has happened since I last blogged either, to be honest, but I suppose life just gets in the way sometimes.

This week I've spent most of my spare time prepping meals as I've recently starting Slimming World. I need to shift a few pounds for my brother's wedding in August. I'm a bridesmaid so now is definitely the time to start eating properly to look good in all the inevitable photos (but obviously not as good as my future sister-in-law - she's gonna look stunning). I also want to lose a few pounds to make me feel better about myself. I had my first weigh-in on Wednesday (which was nerve-racking, to say the least) and I managed to lose 2 pounds! Not much really, but I'm just so happy it's a loss and not a gain.

This week we've also had a few snowy days here in Scotland. Luckily, I've not been as bad as some areas, especially around Edinburgh and Glasgow where people were taking 12 hours to get home, but still enough for me to be keeping an eye on the traffic cameras and Accuweather.

  3. Glad to see you back! Sometimes a break is good. It's been snowy here too, but 12 hours to get home? Wow I feel bad for those people!

Hope you have a super week.

    1. Thank you! I think the break definitely did me some good! The snow hasn't been too bad where I am and I'm glad as 12 hours is just unimaginable.

  4. Welcome back! I think sometimes a break is needed. Congratulations on the weight loss. I've found that having a specific date/reason to work towards is really helpful. I love all the covers for the Marie Rutkoski series and am hoping to start it soon! Have a great week!

    1. Thank you! My break was definitely needed! Having a reason to lose the weight is definitely helping - between the wedding and my first beach holiday in 8 years anyway! The Winner's Trilogy has gorgeous covers - so I catching - and definitely worth a read.

Feature and Follow (29 May)

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of  Parajunkee’s View  and Alison of  Alison Can Read . Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs! I'm one of the featured blogs this week! Along with Amanda of  The Darling Bookworm . This week’s Question: How many books have you got on your TBR list? I recently had a bit of a cull of my TBR list so now it is sitting at 269. I'm trying my hardest to get it below 200 by the end of the year but I really don't see it happening. I'd currently be happy if I managed to get it below 225. However, I did recently have a look through my TBR on Goodreads and deleted a few books that I don't think I will actually ever read - I'm not even to sure how they got there anyway.
