Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Can't Believe I Read

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's topic is ten books I can't believe I read.

The Seer
I hated this book so much that I can't believe I pushed through and finished it.

Mile High
Pretty much the same as above.

Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West
I liked this one, but for me, it was such a trick read that I'm surprised I finished it.

Unf*ck Your Habitat: You're Better Than Your Mess
I can't believe I enjoyed this book as much as I did - I mean it's about cleaning!

The Fellowship of the Ring (The Lord of the Rings, #1)
It legit took me about 10 years to read the trilogy (I think I was too young the first time I attempted), but I am so freaking glad I did!

  1. Yeah, that cleaning book attracted me too. I think it's the way the nonfiction narrative is written that makes it an entertaining book!

    1. Yes! It was definitely more entertaining that an average cleaning book. Glad I'm not the only one who thinks so.

  2. It took me a year or two to read the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I normally read books much faster than that, so I've never tried them again.

Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.

    1. Glad I'm not the only one who took a while to read them. I'm thinking about reading them again - maybe this year.

  3. I read the LoTR series and it was okay, but I'm not going to lie, I'm more a fan of the movies. Still glad I read them though... I wonder if I'd like them more on audiobook?

    1. I think I'm a bit the same - prefer the movies but the books are a good read too. I might actually have them in audiobook somewhere so I might just have to try that as well.

  4. It took me a while to get around to the Lord of the Rings too, I totally agree. Glad I did though finally!

    1. I'm so glad I'm not the only one. And, of course, I'm so happy that I have read them. Hopefully I will reread them too.

  5. I'll be reading the LOTR trilogy this semester for a class, so I hope I enjoy them, too!

  6. I think I need to give LotR another chance. I just couldn't get into it when I tried, but that was like 15 years ago or something.

  7. LOTR was an excellent trilogy. I wouldn't read the other books here.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by  The Broke and The Bookish . This week's topic is a top ten new to me authors of 2015. I have read so many new to me authors this year and it's been brilliant! I'm not sure if I can limit this list to only 10!

Feature and Follow (29 May)

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of  Parajunkee’s View  and Alison of  Alison Can Read . Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs! I'm one of the featured blogs this week! Along with Amanda of  The Darling Bookworm . This week’s Question: How many books have you got on your TBR list? I recently had a bit of a cull of my TBR list so now it is sitting at 269. I'm trying my hardest to get it below 200 by the end of the year but I really don't see it happening. I'd currently be happy if I managed to get it below 225. However, I did recently have a look through my TBR on Goodreads and deleted a few books that I don't think I will actually ever read - I'm not even to sure how they got there anyway.
