Bout of Books 32 Sign-up

The Bout of Books readathon is organized by Amanda Shofner and Kelly Rubidoux Apple. It’s a weeklong readathon that begins 12:01am Monday, August 16th and runs through Sunday, August 22nd in YOUR time zone. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are reading sprints, Twitter chats, and exclusive Instagram challenges, but they’re all completely optional. This will be my third Bout of Books. It's been a few years since my last one, so we'll just need to see how I get on. I will be on annual leave during the week of the readathon so I might get a fair bit of reading done, but at the same time, I have a lot of plans to catch-up with friends after the mess that has been the last year. I think I'm going to aim to read 4 books.

This is a list of books I picked via the random filter on Goodreads and I'm probably not going to read all of these. And I think my plan is to randomly pick books using random.org to add a bit of mystery to what I'm reading. I think I'm also always going to have 10 books on this list and substitute books in from my TBR as a book is chosen (The Price is Right style haha!) so I never know what I'm going to read next.

Discussion: The Problem With My Local Library

I used to use my local library all the time when I was in school. Source I even spent every lunchtime in my school's library. My friends and I were pupil librarians and we practically had the run of the whole library. And then, when I started University, the only library I had time for was the University library. And that wasn't an enjoyable experience. However, last summer I started going to my local library again. (I then had to stop again when I got my job.) And unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed. Source The availability sucks. I can deal with books I want that are already out on loan. It's the complete lack of decent books the library has on its system that gets to me.
