The Sunday Post (28 February)

Sunday Post
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly of Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

OH MY GOD! It has been another busy time this week and I have barely read a thing. However, the absolutely brilliant news is.... my little brother got engaged!!! I can't believe it and I am absolutely ecstatic! So, it's Prosecco all around!

In other news, I went to the bingo for the first time this week with my soon-to-be sister-in-law and a few of her friends. We had a great time and because I was joining they gave us free food! Who doesn't love free food?

I had a day off work on Friday too and I appear to have gained a new TV obsession. Why hasn't Say Yes to the Dress been in my life before!?! However, it is pretty ironic that I binge watched it the day before my brother proposed....

  4. Bingo and free food- nice! I went with my grandma to bingo a few times and it was interesting. She played so many squares I don't think someone half her age could have kept up. Amazing. :)

Congrats on the family news! Have a great week... :)

Top Ten Tuesday: Characters I'd Love to Check in With

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by  The Broke and The Bookish .  This week's topic is the top ten characters you'd like to check in with.  I really struggled with this one, my brain just went blank and I couldn't really think of anyone besides pretty obvious choices.

Discussion: The Problem With My Local Library

I used to use my local library all the time when I was in school.  Source I even spent every lunchtime in my school's library. My friends and I were pupil librarians and we practically had the run of the whole library. And then, when I started University, the only library I had time for was the University library. And that wasn't an enjoyable experience. However, last summer I started going to my local library again. (I then had to stop again when I got my job.) And unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed.  Source The availability sucks. I can deal with books I want that are already out on loan. It's the complete lack of decent books the library has on its system that gets to me. All those months I went to the library last year and I never left with a book that was already on my TBR. I walked around that place looking at my Goodreads trying to find any book on that list. And I couldn't find any at all (except for the Classics). To be honest, I ...
