Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. This week's topic is all about music and books... I was stuck for ages trying to think of a way to spin this, but I've decided to go with top ten songs titles that would make great book titles (or even stories)... This will more than likely be a bit random, but you'll also get a bit of an insight into the eclectic music I like...
Sad Beautiful Tragic, by Taylor Swift
The Kids Aren't Alright, by The Offspring
(I know this is a cover but still, it's beautiful)

Aww, thank you! I just felt The Offspring would make a really edgy read.
DeleteYou know those would all make good book titles, and several of them sound like YA titles, definitely. I like the Taylor Swift song, and No Doubt as well!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I felt they would all make great contemporary YA titles.
DeleteWonderful list. I had a rather difficult time with this week's theme. I adore The Script and it's nice to see them mentioned.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I understand, this week was rather hard!
DeleteWow! Your list is incredible! I especially love "Somewhere Only We Know", "Just A Girl", and "Because of You". hey'd all make wonderful books. Happy Tuesday, Lauren!

Thank you! it's just a bit of an insight into my varied music tastes!
DeleteI love your list! No Doubt is one of my favorite bands. Also, I haven't listened to The Offspring for awhile so it's nice to them on this list.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I absolutely adore Just a Girl, it's so relatable. I have to be in the mood to listen to The offspring but they are great.
DeleteJust A Girl would probably make a great YA Feminism book! Great Top Ten!
ReplyDeleteMy TTT! :)
Vampire Academy Series Review.
Yes, I agree and I think it would be so relatable too!
DeleteI think Because of You would make such a great book!
ReplyDeleteYes, I think it would be a very sad book though.
DeleteGreat list! I love Taylor Swift and the Script!
ReplyDeleteKrystianna @ Downright Dystopian
Thank you! I love them too!
DeleteSad Beautiful Tragic is probably one of my favourite Taylor songs; and I like a heck of a lot of them xD That, and The Man Who Can't Be Moved would both make such compelling, emotional reads - I don't know if I would mentally be up for going through all of the tragedy, but they would be such excellent books it would be hard to stay away!

Here's my TTT, I kind of wished I put a Script song in now xD
Sad Beautiful Tragic is such a gorgeous song, and I love a lot of Taylor's song too. I agree, The Man Who Can't Be Moved would make a very moving book.
DeleteSometimes, the song lyrics themselves could make for the beginning (or middle or end) of a novel, and I love that you've found songs that could be made into novels! Great list :)

I know exactly what you mean. So many songs tell such brilliant stories already.

ReplyDeleteThank you! I thought that I would try to think outside the box for this one.
