Top Ten Tuesday: Books I'd Give to Someone That Doesn't Like Reading (2 November 2021)
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's topic is books I'd give to someone that doesn't like reading. It's a very short list this week but I'm basing it off my sister-in-law who doesn't read much but these are books she enjoyed.
I'm with Wendy—I think it's cool that you used books that have actually worked for a reluctant reader. It's a lot easier to know what someone might like when you know them well.
It's much easier when you have someone to base it off! Most of my friends are big readers, and the one who isn't, the only books I successfully recommended to her were the Harry Potter books, which she did enjoy, but I don't want to push her boundaries and offer recommendations where they're not wanted. My mum's not a big reader either, but she's never really shown much interest in wanting recommendations, so again, I don't push it! Hard to know which books a reluctant reader would choose. It's hit or miss. You chose well for her.

ReplyDeleteI just find it so hard to recommend books to reluctant readers so I just went for the easy option haha! The Midnight Library was fantastic!

The Midnight Library is fantastic! The others aren't quite my taste, but as long as they get people reading that's the main thing!

I agree! Unfortunately, I don't really have any reader friends. Even my family doesn't really read too much.
