The Sunday Post (30 October)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly of Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

This week has been a fantastic week for reading. I've now surpassed my Goodreads goal of 65 books! I'm so happy I managed to reach my goal with over 2 months left of the year. I totally didn't expect to even get close to my goal at the start of the year.

In other news, I had a fairly busy week this week. I was on my own at work on Tuesday so that was pretty boring with no one to talk to, but luckily nothing too difficult came up. However, I did have to mail nearly 200 handbooks out so that was pretty time consuming.

On Thursday, my went in for it's MOT and surprising it passed! I was so sure it would fail because my car is nearly 12 years old and it passed last year so I didn't think it would manage to years in a row. I also had a nice catch-up with my sister-in-law and we went for tea so Thursday turned out to be a great day.

On Saturday, we celebrated a family friend's 21st birthday. We had a girly afternoon tea where no tea was actually drunk. Instead, we had lots of prosecco, gin and cake. Then we all went out at night where we were joined by a few of the guys and a lot more alcohol was consumed. I always know it's a good night when myself and my cousin end up holding each other up. However, it's safe to say I'm feeling a bit tender today!

    1. It was so great rereading them as audiobooks, though it has taken me months! Stephen Fry is just amazing.

  3. Congrats on your Goodreads goal! I didn't do a GR challenge this year, but I might next year. And glad it was a good week. The LEgend of Sleepy Hollow looks like a perfect read for this time of year. :)

    1. Thanks! Can't believe I made it. The Legend of Sleepy Hollow wasn't what I expected it to be at all. I didn't really like it that much at all, unfortunately.
