This week’s Question:
Undiscovered talent - tell us about a book you loved but no one else seems to have heard of. It can be new or old, any genre. Let's spread the love.

Damage
I read Damage for school for a Book Award we had to vote on about 8 years ago and remember absolutely loving it! I really want to find it again!

Goodreads summary:

"Matt, Becci, Sophie, and Nathan are a bit of a foursome, even though Matt and Sophie are a real couple, and Becci only wishes that Nathan would notice she's not just Matt's little sister. They're all looking forward to the themed fancy dress party they're going to, getting in to the Christmas spirit, laughing, and drinking. They have futures, dreams, and lives ahead of them—nothing can spoil their fun tonight. But icy roads and a moment of lost concentration see their bright futures shake and crumble. For Matt, Becci, Nathan, and Sophie, what happens is devastating, not just for them, but for those close to them, too. This is a powerful, humane, and compelling novel, with a strongly positive message about the strength of the human spirit."

    1. Yes, I would think it would be perfect for that age group... though I'm actually not too sure how old middle school readers would be... I'm guessing early to mid-teens.

      Thanks for following!

Discussion: The Problem With My Local Library

I used to use my local library all the time when I was in school.  Source I even spent every lunchtime in my school's library. My friends and I were pupil librarians and we practically had the run of the whole library. And then, when I started University, the only library I had time for was the University library. And that wasn't an enjoyable experience. However, last summer I started going to my local library again. (I then had to stop again when I got my job.) And unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed.  Source The availability sucks. I can deal with books I want that are already out on loan. It's the complete lack of decent books the library has on its system that gets to me. All those months I went to the library last year and I never left with a book that was already on my TBR. I walked around that place looking at my Goodreads trying to find any book on that list. And I couldn't find any at all (except for the Classics). To be honest, I ...
