The Sunday Post (3 April)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly of Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

I've had a quiet week this week and I can't actually remember what I've done all week. I don't actually know why I haven't managed to read or blog more. I actually got a bit behind on it all this week. However, the good news is that my parents will be away next week so I won't have as many distractions from them, so fingers crossed I can get lots of blogging done.

On Saturday, I went out for a cuppy with my granny and we had a nice little catch-up. We also ended up walking around town looking for a curtain pole... though she would have been better asking my brother as he is at least tall enough to measure the window.

  1. It sounds like you had a very good week, Lauren. I think sometimes, we just need slower weeks where we just enjoy life without any stress.
Your new books look great, and I hope you'll enjoy them.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

    1. Yes, it's great to have a slow week every now and again just to get the head clear. Fingers crossed I enjoy this weeks books.

  2. I'm very overdue for a Harry Potter re-read! I can understand reading and blogging less thanks to distractions. I'm super behind on reviews but I can't seem to find the time to catch up!

    1. I'm having a great time re-reading Harry Potter and it's so different listening to it instead of reading. I'm desperately trying to claw back time to get ahead, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed this week.

  3. I didn't read much last week, either- hoping this one will be better. :) Both Tragedy Girl and The Last Days of Summer look promising- looks like they might be kind of edgy and suspenseful. Hope they're good!

    1. I'll keep my fingers crossed for a better reading week for both of us. Tragedy Girl is very good so far so hopefully it will end on a high.

  4. I've had those kind of days/weeks but sometimes it's nice to not notice anything overly stressful and take some time to regroup etc. even if you don't set out to! Hopefully you'll be able to do everything you've planned this week and it will be great :)

Feature and Follow (29 May)

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of  Parajunkee’s View  and Alison of  Alison Can Read . Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs! I'm one of the featured blogs this week! Along with Amanda of  The Darling Bookworm . This week’s Question: How many books have you got on your TBR list? I recently had a bit of a cull of my TBR list so now it is sitting at 269. I'm trying my hardest to get it below 200 by the end of the year but I really don't see it happening. I'd currently be happy if I managed to get it below 225. However, I did recently have a look through my TBR on Goodreads and deleted a few books that I don't think I will actually ever read - I'm not even to sure how they got there anyway.
