It's been another cold week here, which has been a bit of a nightmare. I've had no heating in my bedroom so been moving a portable heater around my house quite a lot this week. Thankfully my new panel heaters should arrive tomorrow.
Yesterday, I went to my friend's baby shower which was really nice and it was lovely catching up. I hate that baby showers have become such a thing in the UK. I don't see the point in them as, in Scotland anyway, it's always been traditional to give gifts after a baby is born, and baby showers here just seem like a way to milk more gifts out of people. This was a bit different though as mum specifically asked for no gifts so it really was just one last big catch-up before baby arrives.

I'm glad you've found a way to stay warm! I'm not a huge fan of baby showers either, but they are a big thing here in the US. And most of the new mothers I know already have everything they could possibly need for a new baby.
ReplyDeleteThankfully I have my new heaters and my house is a bit cosier again. I just don't get the need for baby showers at all.
