Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish.  This week's topic is the top ten all time favourite authors.

Nicholas Sparks
Nicholas Sparks
I own 4 of his books and have only read 2 of them.  But I loved them so much!
Jodi Picoult
Jodi Picoult
As above, I only own 5 of her books but I have read them.  I will buy any of her books if I see them on a good deal.
J.R.R. Tolkien
J.R.R. Tolkien
I just love the world he created.
William Goldman
William Goldman
He is the author of my favourite - The Princess Bride.
Michael Crichton
Michael Crichton
I've only read Jurassic Park so far but also own The Lost World.  I'm not too interested in his other books, I may read them someday.  But dinosaurs!  I may have a slight obsession with them...
David Attenborough
David Attenborough
Okay so not an author.  But he does have books!  I love David Attenborough and would happily adopt him as a third granda.

    1. The Princess Bride is one of my favourite movies too and it took me years to read the book but I'm so glad I did. It is also one of my favourite books now.
      Thanks for visiting :)

  2. I forgot JK Rowling! But I guess it's ok since my list was YA authors only. She's technically not YA, but somehow more than just YA. Great list!

    1. Thanks! I totally understand what you mean by JK Rowling being more that just YA. I think a lot of people are also overlooking her just now just because she is so popular amongst everyone on these lists.

  4. Of all the vampire books I have read I don't think I ever sat down and read the original vampire tale! Here is my tt: http://www.readinggrrl.com/2015/04/teaser-tuesday.html

    1. I think with all the recent vampire books it has become quite easy for us to overlook it, even though it is the one that started it all!

  6. I have seen The Princess Bride so many times I can recite the entire movie yet somehow I've never read the book. So embarrassing! I have read one Jodi Piccoult (it was one about brittle bone disease) and while I had some issues with it it was one of the most readable books I've come across. Even when I wanted to throw it at the wall I couldn't put it down long enough to do so!

    1. Oh my god! You should read The Princess Bride! It's so good! Like you I had watched the film first (thanks to my granny recording it off the TV) and loved it from the start.
I haven't read that Jodi Picoult one yet. I know exactly what you mean by wanting to throw them at the wall sometimes though but being unable to stop reading!

  7. J.K.Rowling and J.R.R.Tolkien <333 I've read some books by Nicholas Sparks (A Walk to Remember, Dear John and At First Sight, I believe) and I just found them so damn depressing that I just can't lol and I've also read Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult and highly enjoyed it :)

    1. Yeah, I understand that Nicholas Sparks isn't for everyone, some characters are a bit annoying and the plots are quite sad.
I haven't read Nineteen Minutes but probably at some point.

  8. I loved Dracula. Good teaser. And your top ten is interesting too. I'm not doing the top ten currently, but My Teaser is from Dark Heir by Faith Hunter

Top Ten Tuesday: Books I'd Love Santa to Leave for Me

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of  Parajunkee’s View  and Alison of  Alison Can Read . Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs! I'm one of the featured blogs this week! Along with Amanda of  The Darling Bookworm . This week’s Question: How many books have you got on your TBR list? I recently had a bit of a cull of my TBR list so now it is sitting at 269. I'm trying my hardest to get it below 200 by the end of the year but I really don't see it happening. I'd currently be happy if I managed to get it below 225. However, I did recently have a look through my TBR on Goodreads and deleted a few books that I don't think I will actually ever read - I'm not even to sure how they got there anyway.
