Some random facts about me:
  1. I'm allergic to chocolate (to the shock and horror of everyone I meet).
  2. I'm scared of volcanoes and I don't even live near any active ones
  3. I have never broken a bone *touch wood*... actually... scratch that... my brother broke my nose by punching me in the face when I was 5 and he was 3
  4. My favourite colours are green (as in lime) and orange but I love all bright colours.
  5. I was in the Samba Band in high school and the tune will forever be in my head.
  6. I keep trying to learn Spanish but can never find the time.
  7. My whole family loves motorbikes and motocross and I can't stand the things.  Honestly who wants to stand in a muddy field every weekend when you can be reading under a cosy duvet.
  8. Throughout my 7 years in primary school (ages 5-11) I only had 4 teachers.  I had more each day in high school than I did during those years combined.
  9. I have a degree in Biology.
  10. I have managed to drop 2 dress sizes in 2 years *dances to myself*.  Not that I was big but my confidence is so much better now.  And I feel so much healthier.
  11. I will listen to almost any genre of music, but I have certain genres for certain moods.  My favourite is probably country... kind of awkward when you live in Scotland

Questions from ***:
  1. What is your least favorite genre?  This is a hard one... probably horror.  I've not really read much horror other than The Woman in Black and I didn't find it scary at all.  But in terms of movies/TV, I can't stand horror and will go out of my way to avoid it (unless it's Daniel Radcliffe in The Woman in Black which I actually loved compared to the book).
  2. What are your favorite movies?  You asked for it...  The Princess Bride, Disney's Pocahontas, Dirty Dancing, Jurassic Park, Watership Down, Mean Girls, The Lord of the Rings, A Knight's Tale, The Rocky Horror Picture Show... I could go on probably but I've probably bored you to tears already.
  3. Do you prefer ebooks or physical copies of books? Physical copies! The smell! The feel! The paper! Do I sound weird... Also I find it so much easier to see how far I am through a book.
  4. Your least favorite book cover? All Goosebumps books!  I had one in my room when I was little and I had to get rid of it!  Lying in bed and seeing that cover in the dark was terrifying!  And it was only the spine I saw but it had the scariest looking eye on it.  I never even read it and I don't even know what it was called, just that it was Goosebumps.  I'm such a wimp!
  5. If you could have any magical ability (or type of magical abilities), what would you choose? The ability to pause time.  I mean there is totally not enough time in the day these days.  I still long for Bernard's Watch!
  6. What is your favorite mythical/fantasy creature? I don't really have a favourite... I like them all I think... from what I've read.
  7. Favorite book when you were 10? A certain series I no longer speak about without a doubt.
  8. What real or fictional place would you most like to go to on vacation and why? Real place would be South Africa.  I desperately want to go on safari.  Just animals!  It's the biologist in me.  Fictional place... probably Hogwarts, maybe Middle Earth.
  9. Is there a particular book/movie that you have an unpopular/controversial opinion on? Not that I can think of at the moment... I might get back to you on this on...
  10. What book do you wish would be made into a movie?  The last book I read that I think would make a great movie is Into the Darkness by Kira Adams.  I just couldn't stop reading it and I'm kinda desperate to watch it.  Somebody call Universal Studios for me!
  11. Chocolate chip cookie dough: great ice cream flavor, or greatest ice cream flavor? Neither, as I mentioned above, I'm allergic to chocolate.  However, I would happily eat the plain cookie dough.

Feature and Follow (29 May)

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of  Parajunkee’s View  and Alison of  Alison Can Read . Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs! I'm one of the featured blogs this week! Along with Amanda of  The Darling Bookworm . This week’s Question: How many books have you got on your TBR list? I recently had a bit of a cull of my TBR list so now it is sitting at 269. I'm trying my hardest to get it below 200 by the end of the year but I really don't see it happening. I'd currently be happy if I managed to get it below 225. However, I did recently have a look through my TBR on Goodreads and deleted a few books that I don't think I will actually ever read - I'm not even to sure how they got there anyway.
