An Explanation

So I've been a bit quiet on here recently and I feel I should give you a small explanation as to why I'm not posting as much as I'd like and taking forever to reply to comments (I have read them).

Basically, I've been not well. Over the past month or so I've been fainting quite a bit and suffering from a lot of dizzy spells, nausea and lethargy and my GP has been clueless. I'm getting frustrated now too! They're using me as a pin cushion and I'm terrified of needles!

Not only have I been ill but I'm also trying to work two jobs when I am feeling fine and my dad broke his laptop so is constantly on mine so I'm not having as much computer time as I want to have (I can't wait to get a place of my own!).

On the plus side, it's going to be a quite two weeks at one of my jobs as my boss is on holiday. I'm basically only required to be there to answer the telephones. So, I should have plenty time to work on the blog, reply to comments and get a few posts scheduled.

Top Ten Tuesday: Characters I'd Love to Check in With

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by  The Broke and The Bookish .  This week's topic is the top ten characters you'd like to check in with.  I really struggled with this one, my brain just went blank and I couldn't really think of anyone besides pretty obvious choices.

Discussion: The Problem With My Local Library

I used to use my local library all the time when I was in school.  Source I even spent every lunchtime in my school's library. My friends and I were pupil librarians and we practically had the run of the whole library. And then, when I started University, the only library I had time for was the University library. And that wasn't an enjoyable experience. However, last summer I started going to my local library again. (I then had to stop again when I got my job.) And unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed.  Source The availability sucks. I can deal with books I want that are already out on loan. It's the complete lack of decent books the library has on its system that gets to me. All those months I went to the library last year and I never left with a book that was already on my TBR. I walked around that place looking at my Goodreads trying to find any book on that list. And I couldn't find any at all (except for the Classics). To be honest, I ...
