Monthly Summary - June 2015

Wow! I can't believe it's July already! June just flew past! It was a rather busy June this year though.

Firstly, my parents went away to the Isle of Man TT and so left me to keep my younger brother alive. That took a hell of a lot of time! It must of been because I was actually working all day then going home to cook and make sure he was actually eating healthily.

Then I took part in the Cancer Research Race for Life Pretty Muddy. As you could imagine I ended up filthy (see picture below). But it was so much fun and I can't wait to do it next year!

Then, as I work at a University, I got to attend Graduation. A whole year since I graduated from the same University! It was so weird being a guest this year and I kept thinking that I should have had a robe on! But it was a great day and there was free prosecco and strawberry tarts.

Because of my busyness, June hasn't been that great a month for reading, I only read 5 books and I'm kinda disappointed. This has taken my total to 29 books so far this year. My favourite book this month was The Stars Never Rise by Rachel Vincent.

My TBR is sitting at 251 books. That's no change since May so I'm happy with that. Even though it's not changed I feel like I may be making some headway towards reducing the pile.

Books I have read this month:

DNF's this month:

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by  The Broke and The Bookish .  This week's topic is the top ten characters you'd like to check in with.  I really struggled with this one, my brain just went blank and I couldn't really think of anyone besides pretty obvious choices.
