Book Beginnings,The Friday 56 and Feature and Follow (22 May)

Book Beginnings is a meme hosted every Friday by Rose City Reader where you share the first sentence (or so) of the book you are reading, along with your initial thoughts about the sentence, impressions of the book, or anything else the opener inspires.  Please remember to include the title of the book and the author’s name.

My Book Beginning is from Wallbanger by Alice Clayton:
"'Oh, God.' Thump"

The Friday 56 is a meme hosted every Friday by Freda's Voice.
The Rules:
*Grab a book, any book.
*Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader (If you have to improvise, that's ok.)
Wallbanger (Cocktail, #1)*Find any sentence, (or few, just don't spoil it)
*Post it.
*Add your (url) post below in Linky. Add the post url, not your blog url.
*It's that simple.

My Friday 56 is from Wallbanger by Alice Clayton:
"'Pink Nightie Girl. Pink Nightie Girl!' I choked out, beyond pissed. Beyond angry. Well into Furious Town."

bloglovinGFCThis week’s Question:
How do you write your reviews?

I will occasionally take notes whilst reading, usually when it's an ebook I'm reading as it's a lot easier to highlight text and add in notes.  I also try to start writing my review as soon after I have finished a book as possible.I try as much as possible to structure my reviews in terms of describing style, setting, events and plot, and then I go on to say what I enjoyed.  I usually end my reviews with recommendations and whether I will read the author again.

  1. Hopping through. I should take more notes while reading, especially on ebooks. But for some reason I don't like highlighting things on ebook. It really makes no sense to me that I don't like it but that's the way I am for now.

    1. I usually delete all the highlights after I've finished reviewing. I don't like reading something covered in different colours haha!

  2. I think we have a similar way of reviewing. I make notes on my Kindle too - makes it much easier to remember the points I was trying to make! Thanks for stopping by my blog today :)

    1. Yeah, I can quite often forget about small points whilst I'm reading so it's great for helping me remember.

  5. Hi! Thank you so much for your comment and following! :)

I usually highlight a lot when reading an ebook or even with normal books. My books are colorful afterwards, with many comments!

    1. I really can't write in books! it's just a no-no for me. I've not even plucked up the courage to start my Wreck This Journal yet!

  6. I try to write my reviews as soon as possible too so that everything is still fresh in my mind. But I don't post it until a few weeks later because sometimes I end up changing my mind about stuff.

    1. Yes, I'm really enjoying it. I didn't realise it started as Twilight fanfiction though. I can't see any similarities myself.

Feature and Follow (29 May)

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of  Parajunkee’s View  and Alison of  Alison Can Read . Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs! I'm one of the featured blogs this week! Along with Amanda of  The Darling Bookworm . This week’s Question: How many books have you got on your TBR list? I recently had a bit of a cull of my TBR list so now it is sitting at 269. I'm trying my hardest to get it below 200 by the end of the year but I really don't see it happening. I'd currently be happy if I managed to get it below 225. However, I did recently have a look through my TBR on Goodreads and deleted a few books that I don't think I will actually ever read - I'm not even to sure how they got there anyway.
